Other options
Secret parking is sometimes offered if it’s available. While this sounds scary, all it means is that you’ll only find out where
you will be parking at the time of the booking. Rest assured though, the car park will be fully secured, with regular (roughly every 10 minutes) transfer and trasnfer time being around 10-15 minutes. This type of parking is usually the cheapest option and the vast majority of people have absolutely no issues using this method.
Two other options which are usually available are Undercover parking and LHR “Meet and Greet”, an alternative to the official Heathrow Official Valet Parking. Undercover parking is safe and secure and usually offers a great deal, sometimes even more so than the “secret parking”. Undercover parking covers Heathrow Terminal 1, terminal 3, terminal 4 and terminal 5. Note that this is not “under cover”, unlike the name suggests.
LHR “Meet and Greet” offers unbeatable convenience, allowing you to drop your car off at Terminal 1, with a short 5-minute walk to the departures area. Your car will be parked for you and brought back on your return.
Variations of the official parking options are sometimes available, such as a “Leisure Special” or “Plus” options, which offer additional extras such as quicker transfer times and shorter waits to be transferred. While these sound good on paper, the additional cost does not always provide the additional value, so consider cheaper options if you’re not in a massive hurry.
